Know your Vape
With the popularity of vaping, the demand of e-juice is on the rise, and it has become an enormous industry. There is a multitude of flavors and choices which can easily make you confuse. There are over 100 vape juice brands and 7,700 current flavors out there, and of course, not all are equal and safe. Before you think about putting your hands on a vape juice, you should know what’s in there. A lot of poor quality vape juices are out there in the market that can easily ruin your vaping experience.
There are two main ingredients in a vape juice that make the vapor, i.e., propylene glycol (PG) and vegetable glycerin (VG). The optional constituents you can play with is; nicotine and flavoring that accounts for 9% to 10% of the composition of e-juice.
Propylene Glycol (PG) is a viscous, colorless liquid and is nearly odorless with a slightly sweet taste. It is generally recognized as a safe additive for foods and medications. The vape producing companies were adding PG up to 70%, but as it has a dehydrating effect on the consumer, so it is balanced in proportion with vegetable glycerin (VG).
Nowadays, most vape juices only contain about 50% or less, and it carries the flavor. It is a syrupy alcohol derivative with antifreeze function that jibes well with soda, juice and other sugary beverages.
Vegetable Glycerin (VG)
Well, in almost all the vape juices in the market, there is at least 50% of VG. Although Vegetable glycerin doesn’t carry flavor,
it can make the mass of clouds of vapor. Vegetable glycerin is a sweet-tasting and non-toxic clear liquid that is extracted from soybeans, coconut, or palm. All the companies that produce vape juice extract VG from palm and is deemed safe for humans.
With syrup-like consistency, it is very much popular in the cosmetic industry, including moisturizers. It is used in food production as a sweetener and a preservative.
Although manufacturers don’t reveal ingredients of flavor in a vape juice as they’re “trade secrets,” but most of the favors are food-grade and safe for human consumption. A small percentage of flavor is added in the vape juice to create different styles and tastes.

Tip #4 Mint Based/Menthol Flavors seem to have a much stronger hit. They chock me when I hit on them with my mod turned up. I found out the hard way. Do not get me wrong I still purchase the mints I know to turn down the power.
Looky there I just admitted one of my wuss moments to keep you from have a horrible chocking moment.
Many vape juices do come with or without nicotine content from 0 mg to as high as 3 mg. Which is of pharmaceutical grade chemical and that is extracted from tobacco plants. It is an addictive substance, so it is suitable only for adult tobacco customers.
You need to experiment with various levels of nicotine to discover the flavor that you would like and enjoy. I always suggest you start low and then move up to higher doses. I have wasted too much money going high and having to throw the juice away because it is too much.
